After a day of hard work rehearsing and a long overseas flight, the Glee Club touched down today (January 4th) in Charles De Gaulle Airport, Paris, France. There were some close calls - a fainting spell here, a flight delay there - but we stuck it out and stuck together. And so began the Glee Club's tour to Paris.
We touched arrived in France at about 6:30 am, local time. An hour or two of milling and herding meant that we caught the train into the city around 8:30, the got off the Saint Michel-Notre Dame stop at 9:00. Needless to say, our group of 70+ had to pack pretty tight on the subway, and we likely made a few locals late for work as we exited the station.
Today has been a great day of wandering and sightseeing (and recuperating, naturally). The area in which we're staying houses some beautiful attractions, including Notre Dame and the Pantheon. It also has a nice selection of cafes and restaurants, giving us the opportunity to clumsily attempt ordering food in French.
We still have a rehearsal as well as dinner tonight to look forward to, but stay tuned for more updates!
